Sparkling Lemon Pear-tini

Sparkling Lemon Pear-tini

We've been having a mini heatwave in New York the last couple of weeks.  The last bits of summer intruding into our fall. So the bounty of autumn pears in the market are begging to be used, but not exactly in front of a warming fireplace.

Sparkling Lemon Pear-tini
This cocktail combines the best of both seasons with lots of pear and citrus flavors along with some bubbles for a refreshing sipper. Cheers!

Per Serving:
2 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Pear juice
1/2 oz. Lemon juice
1/2 oz. Simple syrup
2 oz. Club soda
Lemon zest for the rim
Sugar for the rim

Combine about a tablespoon of sugar with some fresh lemon zest in a shallow bowl. Run the edge of a cut lemon along the rim of the glass and then dip the edge in the lemon sugar. Place in the refrigerator to set while you mix the drink.

Add the vodka, pear juice, lemon juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.  Fill with ice and shake well.  Pour into the prepared cocktail glass and top with the club soda.

  1. Heat wave? We topped 100 here in Los Angeles yesterday, so I'll take my Pear-Tini on the rocks, please ;)

  2. Now this is a pear recipe I can enjoy! I love the flavor but have never liked the grittiness of pears.

  3. Something I definitely can sip on in the fall. Or any of the other seasons actually.
